Year 1 trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park

We all had a brilliant visit to the Cotswold Wildlife Park, as part of our topic on 'Where the Wild Things Are'.
We had a talk about animals of the African Savannah and we even got to touch a giraffe neck bone!

European Day of Languages

We had a wonderful day finding out about different countries in Europe.
In Mrs. Hickey's classroom we learnt about Switzerland, designing our own mountain scenes and tasting yummy Toblerone.
Did you know Switzerland is famous for its chocolate, cheese, watches and Alpine areas.

Week 4

Here is the display of our Wild Things and footprints.
We then started to look at the story of the 'Gruffalo', we role played the story of the Gruffalo pretending to be the different animals and also played a Gruffalo game in P.E.
We have also looked at the continent South America and made our own clay snakes (which still need to be painted!) and created nice colourful snakes to hang around the classroom!!
